Los Angeles Kings Stanley Cup Victory Parade

June 14th, 2012

Los Angeles never misses an opportunity to throw a parade! So when the LA Kings won the Stanley Cup this year a lavish victory parade was in order. The procession itself was short, if you blinked you may have missed the trophy rolling by on the top level of a double-decker tour bus, but it was the atmosphere and the after-party that most of the spectators came to experience.

The morning started quiet with small crowds of LAPD officers taking up their posts along the parade rout.

It didn’t take long before Los Angelinos started crowding the sidewalks, windows, and rooftops in preparation for the Stanley Cup passing.

Even the youth of LA turned out to support the team.

If you can’t find your favorite player’s jersey you can make one yourself. That’s the mark of a true fan.

When there was no more room for any more spectators from 7th/metro all the way to LA Live, the parade began.
