Moving House

April 24th, 2013

My parents just moved, and, while they had a lot of things to move with them, fortunately they left the house behind.

Troy Maxham on the other hand, bought the house that the Barre Technical Center’s building trades program assembled more than a decade ago at Spaulding High School and he is moving it … the whole thing… to a parcel of land he owns in Vershire. The whole story is here on the Times Argus website: Student-built house is heading to Vershire

Troy Maxham stands in the doorway of the bottom-half of the house he bought from the Barre Tech Center at Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont. Maxham, with help from Rogers Bros. House Moving, where he works, will be moving the house that has been outside of Spaulding since at least 2009 to Vershire, Vermont where Maxham plans to “live happily” in the home with his wife Melissa and 2 children.
